LOCHNERHOF LAERSKOOL

About

Onstaan

Rugby

Lochnerhof has a proud rugby heritage and considered the Powerhouse of rugby in the Helderberg region which covers Strand, Somerset West and Gordons Bay Primary schools. It is seldom that they have a bad season as an U13 team. The team is always well drilled, structures are sound and the players know their roles. They play hard and direct and their forwards are always in your face and it is constant where it is on offense or defense. Lochnerhof forwards are always up for the battle, making space for the backs to round off. If you want a battle look no further than Lochnerhof Primary school.

Willie Le roux current Springbok fullback (pictured left) is a past pupil from Lochnerhof and in 2018 Lochnerhof had two craven week players in the WP Craven week side which were their 9 and 10. (Picture Left) Their 6,7,8 made the WP Academy side.

We spoke to their coaches ahead of the 2019 season.

Biggest Opponent for 2019

Lochnerhof constantly plays against the big teams on an annual basis and based on our rankings last year they ended in the top 5. We believe they will end again in the top 10 this year. Unfortunately they wont be playing Grey bloem primary this year but they will be competing against some of the heavy weights from Gauteng and Western Cape. The men from strand are as their emblem suggests Rotsvas on defense and it will take an extraordinary team to beat them and get the better of them. 2019 should be a good season for Lochnerhof Primary.
